Blowin' Like Hell - The William Clarke Story
The book is completed and will be published this fall. I met Bill in 1983 when my band opened for George "Harmonica" Smith in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Blues Saloon. Bill was on tour with George at the time. Bill and I became fast friends and I ended up living with him and his family in L.A. in 1985. We remained close friends until he passed away at the age of 45 in 1996. Bill was one of the most influential harmonica players of his generation, and will go down as one of the greatest of all-time. He excelled at harmonica playing, song writing, vocals and certainly his stage show was without peer. I am honored to be writing a book on this great musician and great friend and family man.
